U5/U6 Initiation Program is a fun filled developmental program that combines practice activities with game play. This program will instill the fundamentals of playing hockey and develop on ice skills.

This cross-ice program consists of one -60-minute session every Sunday at Rosemount Arena.

The U5/U6 program also offers the opportunity to attend a once a week on ice session that focusing on developing on ice skills exclusively. Attendance is optional for second session, but highly recommended.

Dates and time of the second session may vary. To start the year the second session will be a weeknight after school session. ONLY those registered and attending the Sunday session will be invited to the attend the second session.

Our Initiation Program is cross ice program lead by 4 Hockey Canada Certified Instructors.

Participants must be able to skate across ice independently.

The U7 JCC House League Program  is the next level  of development and training in the Initiation Program. This is a fun filled program that combines practice activities with game play. This program strives to get the young participant ready for full ice hockey and continues to  instill the fundamentals of playing hockey and develop on ice skills.

This is a one day program that runs on Sundays, featuring one 75-minute session, featuring skill and development training and gameplay. We follow Hockey Canada guidelines and ensure all games are played on a smaller ice surface for the majority of the year. The season culminates with a playoff tournament.

For those looking for more icetime and competition, we will hold open tryouts for our Beast select team for this age group. Players must be registered in recreational program to tryout for select.

We continue to work on individual development, along with introducing more structured team drills and work on positioning, offensive and defensive concepts.

Standings, individual stats and schedules are kept online. League awards selected at the end of the season including MVP, Top Defenseman and Outstanding Goalie
